Hey fellas, i'm brand new here, but not new to Windows or other shells. I've tried some others, but wanted to give this ago due to me being bored with regular windows. BUT
I have a problem. Duh.
I'm running Win7 64 bit. Just downloaded the install package (yes the 64 bit) and when i try to install i get this: "Usage: emerge <Internal Command>"
When i try to open the other .exe's such as: emergeCore / emergeDesktop, i get an off-white colored box that shows up top left of my screen. One is filled with running tasks.
Can't seem to get this working. : / I use rainmeter and also objectdock, but i tried installing it with both of those processes ended.
Thanks in advanced, and can't wait to get a response to try and use this wonderful looking program!

Hi meth0dman
Welcome to the Emerge Desktop forum!
You aren't doing anything wrong. The default theme is terrible (we are fixing that )
First of all (since there isn't YET a x64 installer) you need to execute "emergeCore.exe /shellchanger" and select Emerge Desktop from the drop list. Log off and log on.
If you right click on the desktop you get a menu with all your Start menu items.
Then follow this tutorial to customize your new shell

Have fun! _________________

Hmm, interesting. Thanks for the quick response. I see what you mean ha, guess i just don't right-click often, plus i have no win taskbar anyway so i guess i was duped!
I'll look for some nice tuts on how to pimp it out like some others i've seen. Thanks a bunch. You should check out:
